Here’s What You Need to Know About Travelling to Malaysia
from 1 April 2022 Onwards
Come 1 April 2022, Malaysia’s borders will be reopened for travel. This is good news for those eager to start their healthcare travel journey.
Here are a few things you need to know as you prepare for your travels:
1. Upon Arriving in Malaysia, Do You Need to Quarantine? Take a PCR Test?
Depending on your vaccination status, you may need to take a PCR or RTK test upon arrival and would need a maximum 5-day quarantine to NO QUARANTINE at all.
2. Why You Need to Download the MySejahtera App
The MySejahtera App is an app developed by the Government of Malaysia to assist users in staying updated on Covid-19 related news, find the nearest health screening facilities, keeping track of Home Quarantine status and much more.
3. Complete the Pre-Departure Form
Before departing for Malaysia, fill up the Pre-Departure form under the Traveller function.
Fill up all the details required and click ‘Submit’. A traveller’s card will be issued to you on the app. It is required before boarding your flight to Malaysia.
4. Where Can I Do My PCR or RTK Antigen Test?
You can perform the necessary tests at the same healthcare facility which you are seeking medical services from. Be sure that your test is done within 24 hours of your arrival (Check Panduan Wisatawan to see if you need to take a test).
5. Need Assistance? The Malaysia Healthcare Concierge and Lounge (MCL) Personnel Are Here to Help
If you’re in need of assistance, our MCL personnel can be there to greet you at the aerobridge, escort you through fast-tracked immigration, baggage claim, and host you at our Malaysia Healthcare Lounge until your transportation arrives to take you to your next stop.
Find out more about this service through your chosen healthcare facility.
