Other than the national language Bahasa Malaysia, languages widely spoken include English, Mandarin and other Chinese dialects (Hokkien, Cantonese and Hakka), Tamil, Indonesian, Malayalam, Punjabi, Telugu and more.

Interpreters are also widely available and can be arranged upon request if required.

Malaysian Hospitality Connects Us Beyond Borders

Malaysia is proud of its courteous and friendly identity. The well-known slogan "Budi Bahasa Budaya Kita" sums up the Malaysian experience: Courteousness is Our Culture.

A multi-ethnic Malaysia also means that we always have people who understand our international patients' cultures and sensitivities, so that patients feel right at home.

Global Halal Hub

Malaysian society is largely Muslim-friendly. Halal food and prayer facilities are widely available at all hospitals.

Hospitals also provide halal medical alternatives for treatment/equipment such as sutures and vaccines.

Malaysia also has many medical personnel, both men and women, who are Muslims.

Healthcare travellers to Malaysia are facilitated from the point of making an enquiry from their home countries, through arrival, treatment, post-care to returning home.

A Meet-and-Greet service is available at the Kuala Lumpur and Penang International Airports, where healthcare travellers await for their hotel/hospital transfers at the Malaysia Healthcare Medical Concierge and Lounge.

Fertility Treatments

As the fertility hub of Asia, Malaysia is equipped with the technology to perform tried-and-true Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) procedures such as In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). We have a remarkable success rate of 82.9% in IVF procedures.2 Only 30 fertility centres in the world are Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee (RTAC)-certified, with eight located in Malaysia. Malaysia's fertility centres also offer preimplantation genetic screening services to evaluate and identify chromosomally normal embryos.
