（伦敦 2020 年 9 月 23 日讯）马来西亚在日前举行的国际医疗旅游杂志（IMTJ）2020 年 医疗旅游奖（Medical Travel Awards）上赢得了业界梦寐以求的“健康与医疗旅游：年 度目的地” （Health and Medical Tourism: Destination of the Year）大奖。赢得这 些奖项巩固了大马作为世界级医疗服务的地位，同时也反映了相关组织机构确保新冠病毒（COVID-19）疫情肆虐之际马来西亚医疗仍努力不懈的坚定承诺。
马来西亚这一次是第四度赢得业界梦寐以求的“年度目的地”大奖。之前从 2015 年至 2017 年曾连续获得该大奖。这等成就证明了马来西亚医疗业的进步，其中马来西亚的医 疗游客在 2019 年录得 130 万人次，相较之下 2011 年录得 64.3 万人次，进一步巩固了马 来西亚为全球值得信赖的目的地的地位。
同时，马来西亚医疗旅游理事会（MHTC）持续四年赢得了“年度集群”奖。这归功于过去 数年来马来西亚医疗业蓬勃增长中不可缺的公私合营关系坚实。
马来西亚医疗旅游理事会总执行长 Sherene Azli 说：“我们倍感荣幸能赢得 IMTJ 的两个 奖项。很高兴再次赢得‘年度目的地’与‘年度集群’奖，因为这表示全球对我国杰出的 医疗旅游基础建设以及优异的病患旅程体验的信任。这得感激所有相关单位和人士的奉献 与努力。这激励了我们进一步改善我们的服务，以维持马来西亚医疗品牌的地位。”
