（吉隆坡4日讯）随着国内冠病疫情好转，马来西亚医疗旅游理事会(MHTC)首席执行员雪琳阿兹里宣布，该会将“2020年医疗旅游媒体奖”报名截止日期延长至年10月15日，而颁奖仪式则订12月10日举行。
她在文告中说，该会做出这项决定，主要让媒体拥有更多时间报名，并把近期更多有关国内抗疫事迹记录下来。
她说，上述医疗旅游媒体奖获得Supernewsroom支持，比赛总备10个奖项，总值高达8万令吉现金奖，并由国内外专家担任评委。
文告指出，该奖自2018年起开办，其宗旨在于肯定卓越且与医疗旅游相关平面、电视、电台和网络新闻报道，随着媒体蓬勃发展，主办当局也新增奖项，并预测该奖将吸引更多国际参赛作品。
参赛作品必须于2019年7月16日至2020年10月15发表，作品必须在10月15日下午5点前交至该会秘书处。
该奖所设的10个奖项，皆分马来西亚及国际媒体组，包括：最佳平面媒体专题奖、最佳网络媒体专题、最佳广播媒体专题、年度最佳医疗旅游记者奖、年度最佳医疗旅游编辑部奖。
