
(八打灵再也23日讯)在国内外媒体的报道和宣传下,大马已崛起为全球其中一个首要的医疗旅游国家,医疗保健访客人数不断增加,从2011年的64万3000人次翻倍至2018年的120万人次,医院收益总计15亿令吉,带来估计50亿令吉的经济效益。
目前单是亚太区医疗旅游版图,全球总保健旅客比重为40至45%,亚太地区的复合年增长率为12至14%,超过10-12%的全球平均复合年增长率。
“2017年至2018年,马来西亚保健领域的复合年增长率为16至17%,中国和印尼分别为11%及31%。”
马来西亚医疗旅游理事会(MHTC)首次推出医疗旅游媒体奖,表扬协助加强全球对马来西亚医疗旅游认知的媒体。
这项奖掖也是全球首创,马来西亚医疗旅游理事会昨晚宣布得奖人名单,认同媒体对马来西亚医疗旅游领域所做的贡献。
亚洲首个数字公共关系平台 Supernewsroom为奖项支持单位,超过10个国家的媒体和新闻从业员提呈了逾250个的参赛作品。
财政部副部长拿督阿米鲁丁在颁奖仪式上赞扬媒体协助推动国内的医疗旅游。他说,媒体一直是推动医疗旅游趋势变化的讨论的催化剂。
“媒体在我们认识亚洲保健体系的力量方面取得了平衡。东南亚在向来是由西方强势支配的全球景观中崛起。”
医疗旅游媒体奖接获的参赛作品,显示了全球对马来西亚医疗旅游业的兴趣,参赛作品远自南非、德国、克罗地亚和英国,邻国的参赛作品来自孟加拉、越南、汶莱和印尼。
