KUALA LUMPUR, 20 FEBRUARY 2025 — The Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) is proud to present its first-ever Malaysia Healthcare Roadshow 2025, showcasing Malaysia’s holistic healthcare ecosystem to across multiple cities in Oman – Sohar, Barka, Nizwa, and Sur. Building on the success of the Malaysia Healthcare Week held earlier this year at the Mall of Oman in Muscat, this roadshow marks a significant step in strengthening regional ties and expanding Omanis access to trusted, high quality care of Malaysia Healthcare.

The event will spotlight Malaysia’s expertise in specialised fields such as cardiovascular diseases and surgery, rehabilitation, joint replacement, spine surgery, and comprehensive plastic and aesthetic medicine whilst introducing the integrated approach to health that Malaysia offers, which includes wellness medicine, traditional and complementary medicine. This initiative is part of MHTC’s strategic vision to expand Malaysia Healthcare into emerging markets like Oman, positioning Malaysia as the medical tourism destination. Oman's growing healthcare sector and its position as a gateway to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region make it a strategic choice for this initiative. By engaging with Omani patients and stakeholders, MHTC aims to create long-term referral pathways and foster collaboration in healthcare.

As Malaysia gears up for Malaysia Medical Tourism Year 2026, MHTC is further enhancing and augmenting Malaysia’s integrated healthcare offerings. These include advancements in modern medicine, wellness programs, traditional and complementary medicine, clinical services, and personalised patient experiences. This comprehensive approach ensures patients from around the globe not only receive high-quality healthcare but also enjoy Malaysia’s vibrant culture, warm hospitality, and seamless medical tourism journey.
